What to expect from storm cleanup process?

SERVPRO of Peoria / West Glendale has been through multiple certifications for water and storm cleanup. One of the more well known is through the IICRC which has a school house here in the Phoenix Metro area.

1. Storm water is considered "black water" or category 3 according to the IICRC. This type of water carries with it bacteria and contamination from the outdoors and into your home.
2. Anything that might have soaked up the contaminated water should be disposed of. Walls will have a flood cut made 12 inches above the flood line.
3. An EPA registered disinfectant should be used on any building materials that are left in the home.
